Arkadak

 

a city (until 1963, a settlement) and administrative center of Arkadak Raion, in western Saratov Oblast, RSFSR. Situated on the Bol’shoi Arkadak River (near where it discharges into the Khoper River), the city has a railroad station 51 km southwest of Rtishchevo. The population numbers 14,300 (1968). Arkadak has a dairy, a cannery, a creamery, and a distillery.
