Asaris, Gunar Konstantinovich

 

Born June 23, 1934, in Riga. Soviet architect.

Asaris graduated from the department of architecture at the Riga Polytechnic Institute in 1959. His works include the experimental shop at the Riga Glass Works (1959), a number of individual residences in Riga and Iurmala (1959–69), and a memorial group commemorating the victims of fascist terror in Salaspils (1963–67; with other architects), which was awarded the Lenin Prize in 1970.
