Axie Infinity
A popular crypto-based game from Viet Nam game developer Sky Mavis, in which players collect and raise Axie fantasy pets. Axies are bred to create offspring that can be sold in the Axie NFT marketplace, and they are used to battle other Axies. Introduced in 2018, the native tokens are AXS (Axie Infinity Shards) and SLP (Small Love Potion), which are used to pay for breeding, and which are earned for playing the game in various modes. Expected in 2022, the game is being enhanced by battling monsters on the land of Lunacia, which is divided into thousands of NFT-based plots. In addition, a Lunacia software development kit (SDK) enables third parties to create games using Axie Infinity assets. See P2E gaming and crypto glossary.
