B-scope
B-scope
A radarscope displaying range or azimuth information of the target in Cartesian coordinates. This type of display is used in AI (airborne interception) radars. Range is measured vertically up the CRT (cathode-ray tube), whereas the target azimuth is relative to the given datum (i.e., aircraft fore-and-aft axes). A vertical time base sweeps horizontally across the tube in synchronization with a scanner moving in azimuth relative to the given datum.
