BCL10 is required for NF[KAPPA]B nuclear translocation by both canonical and non-canonical pathways and for NIK phosphorylation.
As shown in Figure 4(a), [kappa]-carrageenan alone mediated a slight nonstatistical increase in the expression of
Bcl10, the phosphorylation of I[kappa]B[alpha], and the nuclear expression of [NF-[kappa]B in HT-29 cells at high doses (P > 0.05).

Bcl10," Biochimica et Biophysica Acta--General Subjects, vol.
Interestingly, DNA-chip hybridization assays identified both BCL-6 and
BCL10 as novel candidate genes in pancreatic cancer that were overexpressed in pancreatic cancer cell lines and primary tumor samples [58].
Researchers at the University of Michigan Health System have learned that a key protein called
Bcl10 is needed for the free fatty acids, which are found in high-fat food and stored in body fat, to impair insulin action and lead to abnormally high blood sugar.
Using miRGen and MicroCosm, we found that Ccna2 and
Bcl10, two genes that were up-regulated in our mRNA arrays, were the predicted targets of the down-regulated rno-miR-489 and rno-let-7e*, respectively.
The rogue gene, labelled
Bcl10, was originally thought to be implicated only in a rare cancer called B cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Bcl10 activates the NF-[kappa]B pathway through ubiquitination of NEMO," Nature, vol.
Immunohistochemically, acinar cell carcinomas are positive, with different frequencies, for trypsin, chymotrypsin,
BCL10, and lipase.
In addition, interaction of DPP4 with caveolin-1 may form a complex consisting of DOO4, CARMA1,
Bcl10, MALT1, and I[kappa]B kinase in the lipid rafts on T cell membrane, leading to the activation of NF-[kappa]B [30].
