Baker, Augusta (Alexander)
(1911— ) librarian, storyteller; born in Baltimore, Md. After studying at Hunter College, she served as children's librarian and storytelling specialist for the New York Public Library and the public library of Trinidad, British West Indies. Her numerous anthologies for children include several about African-American life.
