Bald Point State Park
Location:Off US 98, 1 mile south of Ochlockonee Bay, on SR 370.
Facilities:Beaches, boat ramp, nature trails, picnic areas/pavilions, restrooms.
Activities:Fishing, canoeing and kayaking, swimming, bicycling, birding.
Special Features:Located on Alligator Point where Ochlockonee Bay meets the Apalachee
Bay, the park features coastal marshes, pine flatwoods, and oak
thickets that foster a diversity of biological communities. In the
fall, bald eagles and other raptors, as well as monarch butterflies,
are commonly sighted as they fly south for the winter.
