Barry, Leonora

Barry, Leonora (Marie Kearney)

(1849–1923) labor leader; born in County Cork, Ireland. Emigrating to the United States in 1852, she worked in a clothing factory. In 1884 she organized a local assembly of the Knights of Labor. She served as general investigator for the Knights' women's department (1886–90).
