Barry, (Richard Francis Dennis III) Rick
(1944– ) basketball player; born in Elizabeth, N.J. After playing for the University of Miami (Fla.) (1962–65), he played forward for the San Francisco (later Golden State) Warriors, the Houston Rockets, and the American Basketball Association (ABA) New York Nets (1966–80). He is the only player ever to lead both the National Basketball Association and ABA in scoring. He was elected to basketball's Hall of Fame in 1986.
