Bartonian Priabonian larger benthic foraminiferal events in the Western Tethys.
During
Bartonian, the Eastern Atlantic marine biodiversity fell, but the Paris Basin and the Loire-Atlantique (Britain) still correspond to very rich areas having a mollusc richness exceeding 1000 species (Merle, 2008; 2009, Lebrun et al., 2013).
This Acme zone 3 corresponds to the SBZ17, and is considered to be
Bartonian in age.

This variety is generally found in Jackson (

Based on the paleontological studies the age of the Jahrum Formation is Middle Eocene (Lutetian to
Bartonian) to Late Eocene (Priabonian).
