Beal, Gifford

Beal, Gifford (Reynolds)

(1879–1956) painter; born in New York City. A pupil of William Merritt Chase, he lived in New York, summered on the shores of Massachusetts, and painted city and marine scenes, as in The Albany Boat (1915), and Freight Yards (1920).
