Bear Brook State Park
Location:Off NH Route 28.
Facilities:Campground is remotely located in the park (5 miles from day-use area,
on Beaver Pond) and has: 95 campsites (no hookups), showers, camp
store, and a small beach reserved for campers only. Park also offers:
picnic area, group picnic shelter, trails (40 miles), 1.25-mile fitness
course, canoe and rowboat rentals, playground, 2 archery ranges, ballfield,
horseshoe area, 4-H camp, museum complex, nature center.
Activities:Camping, boating (non-motorized only), fishing (including fly fishing),
swimming, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, interpretive programs, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing.
Special Features:Bear Brook is the largest developed state park in New Hampshire. It features a museum complex that includes three museums, a nature center, and a historic meeting house (open during the summer).
