Bell, Thomas Montgomery
(1861–1941) U.S. representative; born in Nacoochee Valley, Ga. He was a teacher, a salesman, and a superior court clerk (1898–1904) before going to the U.S. House of Representatives (Dem., Ga.; 1905–31). He became majority whip, returning to Gainsville, Ga., afterward.
