Belyi Iar
an urban-type settlement; administrative center of Verkhneketskii Raion, Tomsk Oblast, RSFSR. Located on the Ket’ River (a tributary of the Ob’), 400 km north of Tomsk. Population, 4,400 (1968). Belyi lar has a logging and timber distribution enterprise. Construction on the Asino-Belyi lar railroad line began in 1970.
