Location:11 miles southwest of Mound City on Highway 111 in Holt County.
Facilities:18 basic campsites, 57 electric campsites, showers, 8 cabins, 12 motel rooms and 5 suites, picnic sites, picnic shelter, restaurant, swimming pool, boat ramp.
Activities:Camping, lake fishing, swimming, bird watching, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Park is located in northwest Missouri, midway between Kansas City and Omaha, on the state's largest oxbow lake, which was formed by the Missouri River before its course was controlled by channelization. The park also has a large marsh, and Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge (see separate entry in national wildlife refuges section) is nearby.
