Biriusinsk

 

(until 1967, Suetikha settlement), city in Irkutsk Oblast, RSFSR, on the right bank of the Biriusa River (Angara basin). It has a railroad station on the Trans-Siberian Railway. Population, 16,200 (1968). There is a woodworking combine, a hydrolysis plant (working on the waste materials from the combine), and a factory making reinforced-concrete products.
