Bonior, David (Edward)

(1945–  ) U.S. representative; born in Detroit, Mich. A Vietnam veteran and social worker before coming to Congress (Dem., Mich.; 1976), he opposed aid to the Contras in Nicaragua (1983–88); he became majority whip in 1991.
