Botogol’skii Golets

 

a mountain mass in the Bel’skie Gol’tsy range in the Vostochnyi Saian Mountains. Maximum elevation, 2,509 m.

The Botogol’skii Golets is composed of gneiss, crystalline shales and limestones, faulted granite and syenite intrusions, with deposits of high-quality imbricate graphite and nephelinic syenite. Up to an elevation of 1,900–2,000 m the slopes are covered with larch and cedar mountain taiga. At higher elevations there is rocky tundra.
