Boxwood Hall State Historic Site
Location:On East Jersey Street in Elizabeth.
Special Features:Built in 1750, Boxwood Hall became the residence of Elias Boudinot,
president of the Continental Congress that signed the Peace Treaty with
Great Britain. George Washington visited Boudinot's home on his way to
New York in 1789 for his first inauguration.
