It is well known that star-shaped polymers featuring only one
branch point per molecule show similar rheological behavior as linear polymers.
A symmetric
branch point in a tree T is an internal node v such that if [v.sub.1] and [v.sub.2] are its children, then the subtrees [mathematical expression not reproducible] and [mathematical expression not reproducible] of T rooted at them have the same shape.
A point [z.sub.0] is a
branch point for f if f'([z.sub.0]) = 0.

The landmarks identified are the intersections of wing veins with the wing margin, intersection of cross vein with major vein
