Braslav

a city, the administrative center of Braslav Raion, Vitebsk Oblast, Byelorussian SSR, 30 km from the Druia railroad station. Located on the shore of Lake Drisviaty. Population, 5,000 (1969). Industry consists of a fish-processing plant, creamery, and vegetable dehydration plant. Braslav has a popular dramatic theater. Nearby is a tourist center.
