Bricker, John W.

(1893–1986) U.S. senator; born near Mount Sterling, Ohio. Governor of Ohio (Rep., 1939–45) and U.S. Senator (Rep., Ohio; 1947–49), he was also Republican vice-presidential candidate in 1944.
