Which Pulitzer Prize-winning author wrote The
Bridge of San Luis Rey? A Theodore Wild B Thierry Wise C Thornton Wilder D Thomas West 6.
In his Pulitzer prize winning book, The
Bridge of San Luis Rey, Thornton Wilder has the nun reminisce:
He maintained friendships and correspondences with his generation's iconic writers and intellectuals, Ernest Hemingway and Gertrude Stein among them, becoming one of the greatest American playwrights of his time and a Pulitzer Prize winner in both drama--Our Town (1938) and The Skin of Our Teeth (1942)--and fiction--The
Bridge of San Luis Rey (1927), the first writer to win the award in two genres.
In works like "The Skin of Our Teeth" or "The
Bridge of San Luis Rey," the writer is able to depict humanity's failings and still make a case for optimism.
