Brower, Lincoln P. (Pierson)
(1931– ) entomologist; born in Summit, N.J. He was a Fulbright scholar at Oxford University (1957–58), then taught at Amherst College (1958–80) before becoming distinguished professor of zoology at the University of Florida (1980). A specialist in studies of migration and protective coloration of monarch butterflies and a producer of ecological films, he made major contributions to research on ecology, evolution, animal behavior, and ecological chemistry.
