In addition, correlation tests were performed between the thickness of the
buccal cortical bone of the premolar region and the age of the volunteers.
As quality reviews and statistical analyses continue, the preliminary findings include: Diazepam exposure following the
buccal film showed comparable bioavailability to the rectal gel as assessed by maximal plasma concentration (Cmax).
We aimed to study the accuracy of thickness of
buccal carcinoma measured preoperatively on percutaneous ultrasound as compared to the histopathological thickness.
Results of the IMPROVE trial suggest that vaginal administration of misoprostol (25 M9 initial dose, 50 MS subsequent doses) may be superior to the
buccal route, with more rapid vaginal delivery, more vaginal deliveries within 24 hours, and fewer urgent cesareans for nonreassuring fetal testing (although the overall cesarean delivery rate was not significantly different).
The defect that we were handed was enormous with
buccal mucosa defect of about 5x5 cm, more than 50% of upper lip was resected and about 90% of the lower lip was excised along with left oral commissure (Figure-1).
Fibers were located in each of the interganglionic connectives, and major GABAli tracts were present in the commissures connecting the paired
buccal, cerebral, and pedal hemiganglia.
Moreover, a survey was conducted on clinical features of recurrent aphthous ulcers in Jordan university of science and technology in which the results showed that 85% of the ulcers were less than a cm in size, 66% were circular in shape, 92% were painful, 82% interfered with eating and 55% located in and around lips and
buccal mucosa.15 Present study had shown similar results that size of ulcers in 90% of patients with active ulcers was less than 1 cm.
The current general practice is to infiltrate both
buccal and palatal sides for maxillary extraction.1,2 However, palatal injection has also been stated as one of the most painful experiences in dentistry manly because of tightly adherent palatal mucosa and rich sensory nerve supply.2
The graft was harvested from
buccal mucosa in 10 patients and from the penile foreskin in 1 patient, while in 1 patient there was a combination of both, because of extensive stenosis.
With regard to root segments, the
buccal area showed the highest occurrence of opaque dentine (57.5%).
Fordyce's spots represent ectopic sebaceous glands in the oral cavity and are commonly found in the
buccal mucosa, upper lip, retromolar trigone, anterior tonsillar pillar, soft palate, and gingiva [7].
The complaints of the patient were burning sensation after hot or spicy foods in the left
buccal mucosa and painless swallowing in the left
buccal mucosa for 3 months (Figure 1(a)).
