Buck's Pocket State Park
Location:2 miles north of Grove Oak in northeast Alabama.
Facilities:36 modern campsites, primitive campsites, picnic area, group pavilion,
comfort stations, camp store, snack bar, trails (hiking and bicycle trails
and a 6-mile horseback trail), playground; boat launch nearby.
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing, hiking, horseback riding.
Special Features:Park lies in a secluded natural pocket of the Appalachian Mountain
chain and its picnic area offers a canyon rim view into the pocket
below.
