Burundai

 

an urban-type settlement in Hi Raion, Alma-Ata Oblast, Kazakh SSR, with a railroad station 20 km north of Alma-Ata. Population, 9, 600 (1968). Burundai produces sugar and bricks and has a livestock-fattening sovkhoz.
