Button, Dick

Button, (Richard) Dick

(1929–  ) ice skater; born in Englewood, N.J. He was five-time world champion (1948–52) and gold medal winner in the 1948 and 1952 Olympics. As an innovative competitor and as a commentator for ABC television, he was instrumental in popularizing the sport in the U.S.A.
