Bykovo

 

an urban-type settlement in Moscow Oblast, RSFSR, 33 km southeast of Moscow. Population, 13, 200 (1968). One of Moscow’s airports is located in Bykovo.


Bykovo

 

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Bykovo Raion, Volgograd Oblast, RSFSR. It is a port on the left shore of the Volgograd Reservoir, 46 km south of the Kamyshin railroad station. Population, 8,600 (1967). A plant producing reinforced-concrete structures, a creamery, and a flour mill are located there. There is also an agricultural technicum. An experimental melon-growing station is located near Bykovo.
