CCOW

(Clinical Context Object Workgroup) Applications in the healthcare field that are designed to work together. CCOW-compliant applications adhere to the HL7 Context Management Standard (CMS), which enables disparate applications to identify the same data. For example, if one application is open to a patient's record, opening another application automatically retrieves data for that patient. See HL7 and healthcare IT.
