Cajori, Florian

Cajori, Florian

(1859–1930) mathematical historian; born in St. Aignan, Switzerland. Emigrating to America as a student (1875), he is known best as a mathematical historian. A history of mathematics professor at the University of California (1918–30), this American Academy of Arts and Sciences member wrote a number of texts on the history of math and physics.
