Location:23 miles east of Fredericksburg on Route 218.
Facilities:Picnic shelters, hiking trails, visitor center, restrooms, environmental education center.
Activities:Hiking, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Overlooking the banks of the Potomac, Caledon Natural Area is summer home to one of the largest concentrations of American bald eagles on the East Coast. Though access to the forests and marshes is restricted, limited tours into the eagle area are offered seasonally (mid-June to September).
