Campo Grande

 

a city in western Brazil, in the state of Mato Grosso. Population, 140, 400 (1970). Metallurgy is an important activity. Campo Grande is a center of the food industry, particularly of combined slaughterhouses-refrigeration plants. The cattle trade is also important.
