Canadian Basin

a depression of the floor of the western part of the Arctic Ocean. To the south the Canadian Basin is bounded by the continental slope of North America, on the north by the Mendeleev Range, and to the west and east by the Chukchi and Alpha rises. It is up to 3, 810 m deep. The bottom of the Canadian Basin is an abyssal plain covered with clayey silt.
