Location:In south-central El Paso, Texas, just north of the Rio Grande and adjacent to the international boundary. Access is via San Marcial Street or Delta Drive.

Activities:Guided tour.
Special Features:The peaceful settlement of a 99-year boundary dispute between the United States and Mexico is memorialized here. The Chamizal Treaty, ending the dispute, was signed in 1963. An amphitheater and 500-seat auditorium are used by the theatrical groups from both sides.

At Chamizal National Memorial, park staff celebrate the signing of the Chamizal Treaty of 1963--which settled a land dispute that had caused tensions between the United States and Mexico since 1866.
