Chaoch’ing
a city in southern China, in Kwangtung Province. Port on the river Hsi Chiang. Population, more than 100,000 (1970). Chaoch’ing is a center for the processing of agricultural produce from throughout the province. It produces machinery, chemical fertilizers, and matches.
