Chauvai

 

an urban-type settlement in Frunze Raion, Osh Oblast, Kirghiz SSR. Chauvai is situated on the northern slopes of the Alai Range, 32 km south of the Kyzyl-Kiia railroad station. The settlement has a mine of the Khaidarken Mercury Combine.
