(also Sunwui), a city in China, in Kwangtung Province. Population, approximately 100,000 (1957). Chiangmen is a port of the Hsi Chiang delta. Plants of the machine-building industry produce petroleum-refining equipment, ships, electric motors, and hydraulic turbines. The city also produces paper and sugar and has metallurgical, rubber, glass, and match factories.
