Chief Marshal of a Combat Arm

 

the highest military title in the Soviet armed forces, personally conferred on marshals of combat arms and special troops (chief marshal of artillery, aviation, armored troops, engineer troops, and communications troops) and corresponding to the title marshal of the Soviet Union; introduced on Oct. 9, 1943.

The title of chief air marshal also exists in Great Britain.
