Chikurachki
an active volcano on Paramushir in the Kuril Islands, USSR. It has an elevation of 1,816 m. The cherry red lava cone is situated in a volcanic chain system that was formed in the Pleistocene. The crater has a maximum diameter of 450 m. Thickets of dwarf alder (Pinus alnifolia) and dwarf stone pine (Pinus pumila) are found on the slopes. Chikurachki erupted between 1853 and 1859 and in 1958,1961,1964, and 1973.
