Clinton State Park
Location:4 miles west of Lawrence.
Facilities:240 utility campsites, 220 primitive, non-utility campsites, restrooms
and showers near campground, 6 picnic shelters, day-use picnic area, 4
playgrounds,
sand volleyball area, archery range, 2 9-hole disc golf courses, 6
shower buildings, hiking and biking trails (25 miles), cross-country
ski trail (5 miles), self-guided nature trail (1 mile), swimming beach
with showerhouse, 16 boat ramp lanes, 8 courtesy docks,
separate launch areas for windsurfers and personal watercraft, marina
with floating restaurant, boat rentals.
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, wildlife viewing.
Special Features:Park is situated on the north shore of the Clinton Reservoir in the scenic Osage Questas region of
Kansas. The park is well-known for its extensive trails
system, and the park staff work closely with Lawrence and University of
Kansas individuals and organizations to present several concerts and
other special events each year.
