Close-Range Concentrated Fire

 

fire by machine guns, artillery guns, tanks, and self-propelled gun mounts begun by surprise, at close range, and in one preset direction. As a rule it is set up on the defense on camouflaged positions, directed at the flank of an advancing enemy, and waged with maximum intensity.
