Outer surface of mandible and basal area of labrum smooth and shiny, impunctate;
clypeus with fine and contiguous punctures among, large, scattered setiferous punctures; supraclypeal area with fine and contiguous punctures on distal third, punctures becoming faint basally, thus integument appearing smooth and shiny at low magnifications; subantennal area and remainder of face with fine, contiguous punctures or alveoli, coarser than on
clypeus; gena strongly imbricate with faint punctures.
[With yellow on
clypeus, propodeum, and posterior bands on T1-T2; usually with yellow also on scutellum and metanotum.
Lateral margins of head slightly sinuate; paraclypei a little shorter than
clypeus, tapering towards apex with apices quite acute, antennae five segmented, 1st segment not reaching apex of head, length of antennal segments, I 1.0 mm, II 2.4 mm, III 2.6 mm, 4th and 5th mutilated in type; labium reaching to middle of 6th abdominal segment, length of labial segments, I 2.0 mm, II 4.0 mm, III 3.4 mm, IV 3.0 mm, labial formula I < IV < III < II; bucculae distinctly shorter than basal labial segment (Fig.
(paratypes, Onkone Gare); A) metope and
clypeus, frontal view; B) head and thorax, dorsal view; C) female genitalia in situ, ventral view; D) male genitalia in situ, ventral view.
Clypeus smooth, densely setose, the lateral margin in contact with the tentorial pit which occupies about 1/3 of the distance between the lateral margin of the
clypeus and the eye (Figure 2a).
Prosternai spines are delicate and short (shorter than the
clypeus hornlets), mesosternal lobes are pointed and erected, metasternal ones broadly rounded, and the metasternal pit is transverse, short, and deep (divided by a thin medial ridge).
The
clypeus is convex, "v" shaped, and covered with striae, except for the medial area.
The adult of form 1 was reared from a caterpillar with all spots present on the head, although the outer spots in the upper row and the spots between the
clypeus and the stemmata in the lower row were weak.
