Colby, Charles
Colby, Charles (Carlyle)
(1884–1965) geographer; born in Romeo, Mich. At the University of Chicago (1916–49), he became an authority on the economic geography of North America; three editions of his Source Book for the Economic Geography of North America were published (1921, 1922, 1926). His "Centrifugal and Centripetal Forces in Urban Geography" was published in 1933.
