Conidia

(singular, conidium), asexual reproductive spores formed in fungi on special branches of the mycelium, the conidiophores. Conidia are characteristic of Ascomycetes and Fungi Imperfecti. They vary in shape, color, number of cells, and origin. The conidia of lower fungi—Phycomycetes—are modified sporangia.
