Established: 1986. Description:Promotes awareness and understanding of conservation treaties and their goals and seeks to enhance public support, compliance, and funding. Specifically uses education programs and grants to encourage compliance with the @it1Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora@it2, known as CITES, as well as other international treaties and conventions that address environmental conservation and pollution problems. Members: Nonmembership organization.
Publications: Educational books, posters, and pamphlets including CITES Endangered Species Book; $5.00, for elementary school audiences.
