Cordiner, Ralph Jarron

Cordiner, Ralph Jarron

(1900–73) corporate executive; born near Walla Walla, Wash. He spent virtually his entire career at General Electric, where variously president, chairman of the board, and CEO (1950–63), he implemented an innovative and widely copied decentralized management structure. He explicated his management philosophy in New Frontiers for Professional Managers (1956).
