New data is reported for the distribution of 18 species, of which two belong to the infraorder Nepomorpha:
Corixidae: Heterocorixa and Notonectidae: Martarega', 16 belong to Gerromorpha: of which 12 belong to the family Gerridae: Metrobates, Tachygerris, Limnogonus (two species), Brachymetra, Neogerris, Potamobates, Trepobates (three species), Telmatometra, Rheumatobates', three belong to the family Veliidae: Rhagovelia, Microvelia (two species), and one to Mesoveliidae: Mesovelia.
Two subfamilies (Diaprepocorinae and Micronectinae) that belonged to the
Corixidae were elevated to the rank family level of the Micronectidae and Diaprepocoridae by Nieser [32] and have been accepted at that position by other researchers [33-37].
These taxa were later replaced by stable zooplankton communities and many predators from the families
Corixidae and Notonectidae.

When the salinity is lowest, the brine shrimp population decreases, not because it is unable to live in less salty water but because the populations of its predators increase, and these include water boatmen (family
Corixidae), which are less tolerant of high salinity.
Insects included Odonata (Gomphidae, Macr omiidae), Megaloptera, Trichoptera, Plecoptera, Coleoptera (Haliplidae, Dytiscidae, Gyrinidae, Psephenidae, Dryopoidea), Ephemeroptera, Hemiptera (
Corixidae, Belostomatidae, Veliidae), and Diptera (Tipulidae, Chironomidae).
