The white fibrous scar in an ovary; produced by the involution of the corpus luteum.

The length, width, thickness, weight, and number of macroscopic ovarian structures (antral follicles, corpora lutea, corpus albicans and hemorrhagic body) of both ovaries (right and left) were not statistically different.
In the cortical region, follicles in different phase of development were observed, as well as corpora lutea, hemorrhagic body, corpus albicans and loose connective tissue.
