Cottage Residence style
(1840–1890)A small Gothic style country house popularized in the 12 editions of Cottage Residences: A Builder’s Handbook published by horticulturist Andrew Jackson Davis. The style was characterized as picturesque with pointed gables and arched windows including bargeboards; mostly built of wood, brick, and stucco.
